Carlsson: leader in pedestrian protection
Carlsson
not only sets the bar for design and quality in its products,
pedestrians also benefit from the engineers from Merzig. The front
aprons and daytime running lights by Carlsson passed the stringent
requirements of the Federal Highway Research Institute's EC
directive-based tests with flying colors.
TÜV Rhineland (a German technical inspection association) gave the
automobile manufacturer Carlsson top marks both for the leg impact test
as well as the stop distance test with the Pedestrian Detection
Impactor (PDI), which simulates a collision with a six-year-old child.
The function of the active hood, which opens in the event of a
collision, was not compromised and received praise from the independent
inspectors.
Carlsson is making an important contribution to active traffic safety with products designed for pedestrian protection. |
