The production of high-quality forged wheels is the supreme discipline in wheel engineering.
Carlsson Ultra Light wheels are subjected to a particularly elaborate forging process during which
the aluminium is compacted to such an extent that not even the smallest cavities or pores are to be found.
Despite less mass, the material is extremely strong. In comparison, normal series wheels weigh
around 50 per cent more than Carlsson's 1/16 Ultra Light wheels. Weighing just 9.8 kg per wheel,
they are the lightest of all Mercedes-Benz wheels and are distinguished by a set of unbeatable properties:
